Depressing Touring Day!

Today, we went to all of the depressing sites...well at least tried to.

First, we went to the U.S. Holocaust Museum. It was SOOOO sad, but SOOO interesting. We spent most of the day there, stunned by the Holocaust and what happened SO recently in history. It was shocking.

Ashley, Me, and Lauren. We couldn't take pictures inside, but this was just outside the museum.

Such an amazing memorial

My deep picture after we left.

We all got to be a Jew and read about their story throughout the time we were in the museum. It was so interesting to read their stories.

So since we were in a somber mood, we decided to go to the Arlington Cemetery. Unfortunately, it closed 20 minutes before. I was soooo excited to go there and SO sad it was closed! It was a cool area and I can't wait to go another day!

Some high school girls took pictures like this when they first saw a Metro, so we tried to impersonate them!

Excited to be at Arlington...until our spirits were CRUSHED!

Waiting for our metro. No, I don't fake bake....I found the BEST sunless tanning lotion! Ask me if you want in on this non-skin cancer action! I LOVE it!!

To make up for Arlington being closed, we went to yummy yummy dinner!

For the healthier eaters, I specially requested for a non-bun burger. DELIGHTFUL!

JANUARY IS ALMOST OVER!! I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL WINTER IS BEHIND US AND THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS COME IN!! WAHOOO!

Holocaust Museum must have been awesome, but quite sobering. I've been to Arlington, it's a must do. But you can wait until it is warmer for sure.

The above link is to this doc I know in Boston who is doing all this Vitamin D deficiency research. In short: I'd rather have a cancer I can see on my skin and get checked for by our fav. PA dermatologist in Orem once a year, then have one I can't see.

Glad you are having fun in DC! Cherry blossom season is BEAUTIFUL!
