Joshua Story = Bestest Friend EVER!!

I have learned lately how lucky I am to have such an amazing friend in my life and his name is Joshua Kade Story. He is most definitely the most supportive friend I have ever had. He always checks up on me to make sure I am doing good, and if I am not he is always there for me to talk to or he will just take me out to have a good time. We have been through a lot together the past 2 1/2 years, and I hope that we will always be best friends forever! I have missed him so much lately and I can't wait to spend time with him over the Christmas break while I am down in Orem. So anyway Josh, I think you're absolutely amazing and can't wait to play with you over the break!! Love ya!!

Little Women

I have three nieces. Rylie, Allie, and Kali. They are the cutest little handfuls I have ever met! I was looking through my phone the other day and realized I have some pretty funny pictures of these three. They will always keep you on your toes and constantly laughing. I absolutely ADORE these three! Here's the pictures I found on my phone...

Rylie is the most smiley baby I have ever seen! She is so dang cute!!
One day I walked in the family room and Allie had decided to take off all of her clothes and sit in the windowsill. Oh to be young again...

This one is my absolute FAVORITE picture I have on my phone. When Kali comes over, we share my bed...so I walked into my room to go to bed and this was what I found!! The only thing I can think of is that she got hot so decided to take her pants off, but fell asleep halfway through!!

The house that was built in 1898

As you may know, this year we decided to find a cute little old house near campus to live in. It was our first year not living in an apartment and we were SUPER stoked to have more space, a porch, a yard, and our own rooms. Well, we definitely under-estimated the "up-keep" of living in a house that was built in 1898. For the first 2 months of school, whenever it rained, my bed would get SOAKED. There was water in the windowsill so I figured that the window was leaking or something. When I complained to the landlord, he claimed that I had to have left my window opened. This was oooober frustrating, because why in the world would someone open their window right before a big storm came in?! I'm not that stupid! Well, one night during a big storm, I was reading my scriptures and all I could think about was where in the world is this water coming from?? Then I heard dripping. It was the ceiling!! I had a hole just above my bed that would drip down and into my window!! Well, I ran in to tell my roommates and we tried to temporarily patch up the hole. We are quite handy! The next day the landlord went up to the roof and I haven't had any problems since!! Here are some pictures of when we tried to fix the hole (this happened back in October, but I forgot to blog about it). Currently, our problem has been mice...but I am pretty sure they have all frozen to death, because they haven't been stealing food off the traps lately.

Jentry is super innovative!

Thank goodness for these two little handymen

Finally, we just put a bowl on my bed to catch the water, and moved my mattress to the floor

DONE.

I am A FREE WOMAN! It feels oh so amazing! Today, Jentry and I went to hot chocolate and shopping. Do you know the last time I just took a leisurely shopping trip?! I can't! It was fantastic!! I got a new outfit to wear tonight to our game against Logan. We won, so I am one happy camper! I am done with school for the next 3 weeks, got a new outfit, and won! What more could a girl want? Forreal!?

So I am going to be in Logan until Christmas eve-ish. I have NO idea what I am going to do with myself. If you know me, you know I get stir crazy VERY easily. For instance, I am sitting here watching Inception, which is one of those movies that keeps your attention the whole time. Not mine. I have to be on my laptop blogging while watching. I can't just sit and watch. That is a serious problem when you have no roommates, you are freezing cold, you have no homework, AND WORST OF ALL...the gym is closed. I am at a complete loss here. What do I do with myself this break?!?! I am open to any and all suggestions!!!

So a girl that I coach keeps wanting to set me up with her brother. I was hesitant at first cause the whole "setting up" thing. In my head I am thinking "I am a man eater. Do you HATE your brother? Because most likely I will stomp all over his heart". But then I saw her brother. Pretty dang cute. So I agreed, that we should get set up. Well she like tells him to look good when he comes to games and talk to me, but I get SUUUUPER nervous and avoid eye contact, because I feel weird. So today I gave myself a pep talk. "Kelli, it's okay, just be yourself...it's just a guy...just be bold". So after the game, I was going to talk to him. Well he was surrounded by family so I wasn't going to just go jump on in the conversation. I was surrounded by all the coaches and he wasn't just going to walk over. I kept lookin at him trying to make eye contact so he would come say hi to me or something. Well one time I look over and she is talking to her brother and sees me and goes "SEE LOOK! SHE'S LOOKING AT YOU! GO TALK TO HER!" across the ENTIRE gym. Well, that's awkward. I couldn't pretend I wasn't looking, because she just declared to the whole gym that I was. So...I just smiled and waved and felt myself get super red and shaky. Complete embarrassment. Am I back in high school? Apparently.

I should

I should study for my last final.

I should go to the gym.

I should stop eating candy.

I should get off facebook.

I should care more about my grades.

I should take a shower.

I should go run some errands I have been meaning to run, but haven't had the time.

I should take my trash out.

I should do some laundry.

I should return some phone calls.

There you go. Ten things that I SHOULD do, but I'm not. Why? Because I am dead. I don't want to do anything. I have absolutely no motivation to be prepared for my last final. I have no motivation to go workout or get anything done that I have been meaning to get done. Sometimes you just need to sit. Not think about anything or anyone and just sit. I think that it is okay to sometimes not run around with your head cut off and just enjoy life for a second. Embrace silence. I have seriously felt like I have been running around with my head cut off for about six weeks. I am turning into one of those people I HATE. The kind of person that is so busy that they don't have time for anyone, because they are just trying to fit everything in. The kind of person that doesn't return calls or texts or the kind of person that bails the last minute. I really hate those people. But I can't help it! Obviously, I have some spare time, because I write blog posts or get on facebook. But that is MY time. I talk to people all day everyday. Sometimes I just need to be by myself and not talk to anyone. I really don't know how I am going to be a mom.

Okay story time! So I looked at my grades and in one class I have a 92.3%. A 93% is an A. I absolutely HATE that I am .7% away from getting an A. I have gotten A's on every test, paper, and quiz. So why am I at an A-? Participation points. The dumbest thing in all of college. If I know the material enough to gets A's on tests and papers, then why do I need to be in class? Because teachers are idiots, that's why! So I figured I had nothing to lose by emailing my teacher and asking if there was ANYTHING that I could do to get that extra .7% to raise my grade. She emailed back somewhat angry, but told me to call her. So I called her and made an appointment to meet. She agreed to meet me later on and came back to her office from being at home to meet with me. Sounds like she is going to help me out right? WRONG. She told me that she didn't feel comfortable, because it was my fault I didn't go to class or take advantage of the extra credit. Ew. I was really sad. But, I will get over it and I will get an A in all my classes next semester. Mark my words!

Sorry for the long posts and lack of pictures. I am sure there will be more pictures when the springtime comes and I look tan and skinny again instead of white and chubby.

Stressitis: An Inflamation of stress

Holy Shnikes. This week has been absolutely one of the most stressful weeks ever! I just want to apologize to anyone who has had to encounter me the past few days. I have had ABSOLUTELY no personality. I have basically been a zombie. Why? Because I was too stressed and overloaded with my own thoughts to function in the real world.

We played Springville tonight who is ranked #1 in 4A...we came into the game undefeated and ranked 3rd. Do you realize how much stress that can put on a coach? I KNEW we had a better chance than almost anyone else in the state to ruin Springville's undefeated record that goes back 20 somethin games. I KNEW we could make a statement by beating these guys. I KNEW that it was up to me as a coach to help prepare these guys for one of the biggest games of the season. I went down to watch Springville play last weekend and figured out how to beat them. Ever since I went to that game...that's all I could think about. How we could beat Springville. I was completely stressed and anxious and didn't have room in my brain to worry about anything else.

Add some finals and other drama to that, and you pretty much get a zombie Kelli. I wasn't myself at all. I really just could not think about anything else or talk about anything else, because that was all my mind wanted to think about until this week was over.

I just got back from the Springville game. We lost, but we went down fighting. We were up the first three quarters and just couldn't pull it off at the end. I felt really good about what we learned and what we can work on to really take it to em' at state when it really matters. I really felt good about the game, despite the loss. It's midnight, and I have a financial advising final in seven hours that I have yet to study for. I am straight up exhausted. I can't sleep, but I really want to. I just want this week to be over so I can enjoy the holidays with my family, and take some time to recover and be normal Kelli again.

So I am sorry for anyone who has talked to me and wondered about my lack of enthusiasm for life or my complete lack of personality. I actually probably won't even remember that I talked to you, because I was so consumed in other thoughts that the conversation we had wasn't really what I was actually thinking about. But don't worry, I am still Kelli. I am still happy go lucky and fun, just maybe after this week, I will be able to think and act a little bit more like myself! Goodnight!

Fall Semester by the Numbers

Well, that time has come again...I have completed by 7th semester of college. This week is finals week (which is why I am taking a study break and writing a blog post...I kept trying to come up with something, ANYTHING to write about so I could stop studying). I have completed 3 finals, and just have 2 more to go! Not too bad! This semester has probably been my favorite as far as school is concerned. I really have very few complaints about the semester as a whole. So let's break it down....

3 exams that I got 100% on

7 exams that I got 90% or higher

1 exam that I got 80% or higher

3 exams that I got 70% or higher

12 papers I got 100% on

0 weeks that I went to every single class

4 basketball games that we have won in a row

10 times I went home

2 months I have exceeded my budget

7 days went without facebook

1 season of modern family watched

50 blog posts

Well...that's all I can think of at the moment. It's been a pretty good semester! Hopefully finals will go well and I can add more to the number of tests I got 90-100% on! That would be oh so fabulous!!
